<p>Akkoord, we hebben al even de “keuze” uit Telenet Digital TV, Belgacom TV en TV Vlaanderen. Maar alsof die propriëtaire settopboxen van de twee protagonisten niet erg genoeg zijn, gaan nu ook de zenders op hun beurt <a href="http://www.standaard.be/artikel/detail.aspx?artikelid=DMF20100830_004">roet in het eten gooien</a>. Hoe wereldvreemd kan men zijn?</p>
<p>Ik zal u niet vervelen met de vergelijking met videorecorders, noch gezeur over waarom de openbare omroep überhaupt bij deze zaak betrokken moet zijn. Neen, dames en heren, we pakken het proactief aan.</p>
<p><em>First and foremost:</em> download zoveel mogelijk televisieprogramma’s. Niet alleen zet u zo de omroepen een hak, maar u bevestigt ook nog eens die alweer <a href="http://www.standaard.be/artikel/detail.aspx?artikelid=DMF20100827_099">volslagen idiote uitlatingen</a> van Sabam. Bovendien geeft het u de gelegenheid topseries in HD te bekijken, vrij van reclame; denk maar aan <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_Family"><em>Modern Family</em></a> en <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mad_Men"><em>Mad Men</em></a>, beide zopas terecht bekroond op de Emmy’s.</p>
<p>Wilt u toch een nationale productie bekijken — zoals de reïncarnaties van <em>De juiste prijs</em> en <em>Bananasplit</em> —, overweeg dan zeker om deze op te waarderen met het <em>FlexView game</em>. Bedoeling van dit uitdagende spel is om een programma bij aanvang nét lang genoeg te pauzeren om de reclameblokken systematisch over te slaan, en uiteindelijk het einde van het programma rechtstreeks te beleven. Toi, toi, toi!</p>
<p>Het spreekt voor zich dat ikzelf aan geen van beide initiatieven deelneem. Zoals u weet, verkoop ik gewoon erg graag opruiende taal.</p></div>
